Our methods

Cognitive Behavior therapy

Is a widely used and effective form of therapy that focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It recognizes that our thoughts influence our emotions and actions, and that by changing our thoughts, we can positively impact our well-being. CBT aims to help individuals identify and challenge negative or distorted thinking patterns, replacing them with more realistic and balanced thoughts. This process allows for healthier emotions and behaviors to emerge. CBT also emphasizes teaching practical skills and strategies to manage difficulties, such as stress, anxiety, or depression. By actively working to change unhelpful thought patterns and implementing new coping mechanisms, CBT empowers individuals to take control of their mental health and lead more fulfilling lives.

Mindfulness

In therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, like Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), have been widely used. These approaches help individuals develop a greater capacity to manage stress, reduce anxiety and depression symptoms, enhance emotional regulation, and improve overall well-being. By practicing mindfulness, individuals can cultivate a greater sense of presence, resilience, and inner peace in their lives.

Solution Focused Therapy

Focuses on identifying and building solutions to problems rather than dwelling on the issues themselves. It emphasizes exploring a person's strengths, resources, and past successes to find practical strategies for moving forward. By helping individuals set clear goals and envision their preferred future, solution-focused therapy promotes self-reflection, empowers clients to take action, and encourages positive change in their lives. It's a collaborative and efficient approach that seeks to create meaningful and sustainable solutions through brief, targeted therapy sessions.

DBT emphasizes a balance between acceptance and change, and involves both individual therapy and group skills training. Its goal is to help individuals create a fulfilling life, even in the presence of intense emotions and difficult circumstances.

Play Therapy

Is a form of therapy specifically designed for children that utilises play as a means of communication and healing. Children naturally engage in play to express themselves and make sense of their experiences, and freely explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges through play.

Play therapy helps children improve their emotional regulation, enhance their self-esteem, develop coping strategies, and strengthen their social skills. The therapist observes and interacts with the child, providing empathy, guidance, and understanding during the play sessions.

Play therapy can be effective in addressing a wide range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, behavioral difficulties, grief, and family conflicts. It provides a nurturing and empowering therapeutic space where children can heal, grow, and thrive.
